Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatric Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 03/16/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Title: Occupational Therapist – Pediatrics (Feeding Focus) Location: Murrieta, CA 92562 Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (08:00 – 18:30), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (off Wednesday). Start/end times may vary by approximately 30 minutes for documentation; direct patient care hours are 08:00 – 18:00. Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills and Requirements The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat pediatric patients with a primary focus on feeding and eating disorders, with potential coverage for general pediatric developmental occupational therapy. Core Responsibilities: Independently evaluate and treat a full caseload of pediatric patients referred primarily for pediatric feeding disorder Perform comprehensive assessments, reassessments, evaluations, discharge planning, and development of Plan of Care Implement feeding techniques and therapeutic interventions Provide patient and family education Develop and instruct Home Exercise Programs Complete required billing and documentation Provide care for developmental and sensory-based conditions May provide general pediatric developmental OT coverage Common Diagnoses Treated: Pediatric Feeding Disorder Oral Aversion Feeding Difficulties Dysphagia (experience preferred) ARFID Failure to Thrive Autism Developmental Delay Motor Delay / Fine Motor Delay Sensory Processing Disorders Genetic and developmental disorders Required Experience: Minimum 1.5–2 years of experience Required experience in assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding/eating difficulties Experience treating children 18 months and older required Experience treating children 8 months and older preferred Experience in pediatric general developmental occupational therapy Ability to independently manage full caseload Brief written statement outlining pediatric feeding experience required at submission Preferred Experience: Children's hospital experience preferred (not required) Swallowing disorders experience preferred Work Settings: Children's hospital (preferred experience) Pediatric outpatient Pediatric population HonorVet Technologies Job ID #31941969.
