Machinist & AssemblerLocation: Port Orange, FL 32128 Industry: Aerospace / Manufacturing Salary: Up to $24/hr Employment Type: Contract through June 2026 (potential to convert perm depending on business need Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm; Friday, 6:00am-3:30pm Overview: Step into a role where precision meets purpose in a highly respected aerospace and advanced manufacturing environment. You'll work in a hands-on machine shop environment supporting critical production efforts, with the potential for long-term placement based on performance and project demand. If you take pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and working from detailed drawings, this role offers stability, flexibility, and exposure to meaningful aerospace projects. Responsibilities:Set up and operate the manual milling machine to manufacture parts in accordance with company specifications and procedures Follow instructions set forth on the latest revision-controlled drawing and documentation Load parts and tooling onto milling machine Measure and deburr parts to ensure accuracy Apply mechanical knowledge to complete both routine and complex assembly tasks Perform the accurate assembly of sub electro and mechanical components for builds into high level assemblies Builds higher level assemblies according to written instructions, drawings, and visual aids that comply with IPC standards Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of machine shop experience 2+ years of assembly mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing setting Experience with manual machining to include manual mill and manual lathe setup and operation. Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed technical drawings and work instructions. Competence with hand tools and basic electronics assembly tools (e.g. torque wrenches, ESD systems) Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lifting up to 30lbs Ability to work part time, 20-30 hours a week; times and days are flexible as long as the hours are within the following schedule: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4:30pm and Friday 7am to 3:30pm.
