Job #: 147453 Title: Product Repair-Mod Technician Location: Maxwell AFB, AL Salary Range: 38.07 Position: Product Repair-Mod Tech Description: The technician assembles, disassembles, modifies, repairs, and validates aerospace systems and components to correct failures or implement approved changes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems; performing verification and validation testing; inspecting components for flightworthiness; overseeing assembly and overhaul activities; supporting configuration changes; documenting all maintenance and test activity to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance; and assisting with training efforts under general direction. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Requirements: #Job Details Facility Type: Manufacturing Aircraft Worked: DoD/Military Job Duration: Contract Schedule: Rotating shifts, including first and second shift, based on program needs Tools: Required #Education & Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of 3 years of avionics or aerospace systems maintenance experience. Experience performing testing, repair, modification, and configuration of aerospace systems and components. Experience troubleshooting complex electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems. Experience documenting maintenance, repair, inspection, and test results. Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word. Ability to work rotating shifts based on program needs.U.S. Person status for export compliance purposes. #Preferred Skills Military aviation maintenance background. Helicopter maintenance experience. Experience performing M240 maintenance. Experience uploading chaff and flare onto aircraft. Experience handling explosives, including squibs and pyrotechnics. Working knowledge of IMDS systems. Knowledge of AFI 21-101 requirements. Knowledge of TO 00-20-1 procedures.Aircraft Modification Program (AMP) experience. #Job Duties & Functions Assemble, disassemble, modify, and overhaul aerospace vehicle systems and components. Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoot and repair complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems. Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components. Inspect components and verify repairs meet flightworthiness requirements. Document procedures, repairs, test results, modifications, and inspections in accordance with established processes. Perform maintenance, repair, fabrication, and modification of integrated electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Remove, install, and test system components and associated support equipment. Perform operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing activities. Accomplish configuration changes to support mission requirements. Perform explosive operations, including loading, unloading, arming, and safing of assigned munitions and pyrotechnics.
