Our company culture uniquely merges the benefits of a large corporation with the familial atmosphere of a small business. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm. Essential Job Summary: As an Environmental Technician, you will monitor and maintain landfill gas collection systems under the direction of the Wellfield Manager. Your role involves optimizing and troubleshooting the collection system, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and maximizing gas collection efforts. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate operations personnel to address equipment issues. Conduct field inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to production standards. Manage operations and maintenance of the leachate management system, including extraction wells and monitoring equipment. Collect data for NSPS and local permit compliance. Support third-party gas contractors during construction and system upgrades. Interpret analytical reports and adjust operations accordingly; maintain documentation and standard operating procedures. Ensure optimization of the collection system by guiding contractors on tuning and balancing. Assist with the leachate team in identifying and resolving field issues. Calibrate and maintain electronic data collection devices for effective gas collection. Requirements and Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in landfill gas or construction environments. Knowledge of wellfield gas collection system installations. Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills. Familiarity with pumps and gauges. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. Ability to engage positively in team settings. Experience in natural or landfill gas wellfield collection systems. Physical capability to handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work in various environmental conditions. Proficiency with a variety of tools.
