About the Role: This position is crucial, as Confluent manages some of the largest data streaming deployments globally. Our user interfaces are designed to handle these intricate, mission-critical applications efficiently and at scale. Our clients need intuitive ways to discover, monitor, and create resources rapidly, maximizing the value that Confluent brings to their operations. This role will concentrate on creating reusable shared interfaces that enhance user engagement and drive revenue conversion. Additionally, it will explore opportunities to elevate our UI with innovative AI agent and chatbot experiences. What You Will Do: Set the strategy: Align UI investments with our long-term vision of making our data streaming platform central to every organization. Define the roadmap: Collaborate with engineering partners to create a practical plan that fulfills our strategic objectives. Understand our users: Gather insights through interviews and analyze data usage to define user personas, journeys, and essential tasks. Work across teams: Foster a shared understanding and direction among engineering, product, business development, support, sales, and marketing teams both within Confluent and with external partners. Manage entire lifecycle: Oversee multi-company, cross-functional projects from their conception through delivery and ongoing refinements post-launch. Close the loop: Establish both quantitative and qualitative targets, evaluate performance against them, share outcomes with stakeholders, and integrate learnings into future development cycles. Manage complexity: Deliver value while navigating challenges of a rapidly evolving product landscape, ambitious partnership goals, and fast growth. What You Will Bring: 5+ years of experience in product management. Experience in building and supporting user experience features for enterprise cloud products. Knowledge of LLM or GenAI is a plus but not mandatory. Proven ability to create, present, and defend a clear product roadmap and backlog supported by user stories and customer insights. Exceptional communication skills and experience in a collaborative, consensus-driven environment. Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and clients worldwide.
