2nd Shift Welder

OverviewChallenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible to mig weld automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor.Responsibilities Mig weld components for automotive lifts Place components on paint line Drive forklift when needed Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with an emphasis on safety Suggests and assists in process improvements which assures safety, quality and efficiency is built into the process Assist in assembly and fabrication processes as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to be certified in mig welding in the horizontal position Ability to read a tape measure Basic blueprint reading Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization Strong understanding of process interaction Strong problem solving skills Understanding general manufacturing Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours Must be able to periodically lift up to 50 pounds Align with the Snap-on mission statement Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable). Must adhere to safety guidelines
