Title: Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics Location: Harvey, IL Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift - 5x8-Hour (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM); No weekend service; Call required; Block scheduling; Float required Job Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 outpatient physical therapy services for adult patients in an orthopedic-focused setting Perform evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and discharges Develop individualized plans of care with short- and long-term goals Provide post-operative rehabilitation (cervical, shoulder, spinal surgery; total hip and knee replacement) Treat orthopedic conditions including ankle sprains, cervicalgia, DDD, DJD, elbow/knee injuries, hip fractures, osteoarthritis, sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal conditions, LE/UE amputations Provide gait training, extremity mobilization, lumbar and cervical traction Treat neurologic conditions including post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, nerve palsy, NDT Perform wound assessment and management Utilize modalities including TENS, E-stim, ultrasound, moist heat, phonophoresis, cervical and lumbar traction Conduct assessments including ROM (AROM/AAROM/PROM), pain assessment, strength testing, vital sign monitoring, skin integrity, sensory response, and body mechanics Provide home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safety/injury prevention education Utilize assistive devices and equipment including crutches, rolling walker, gait belt, sliding boards, shoulder slings, traction table Complete documentation in Epic (required) including OASIS, evaluations, discharge summaries, goals, and plan of care Manage billing documentation for Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare A/B, Private Pay, and Workers' Compensation Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience (less than 2 years may be considered per job requirements) Active Illinois state license (in hand at submission; no license hits allowed) BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Epic charting experience (required) Travel experience required Ability to float as needed Ability to take call RTO: No more than 3 days; no RTO during first or last week of contract All required state/national certifications must be in hand at submission Must meet background and compliance requirements Required Clinical Skills: Orthopedic rehabilitation (pre- and post-operative care) Gait training and extremity mobilization Lumbar and cervical traction Pain management and strength testing Outpatient adult therapy experience 1:1 patient care model
