This role is responsible for supervising certified nursing assistants, coordinating care plans, and supporting a safe and compassionate environment for all residents.What You’ll Do Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of ConductFollow Residents’ Rights policies at all timesMaintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, including condition and family mattersCounsel certified nursing assistants and recommend personnel actions to the Director of Nursing Service as necessaryObserve and enforce infection control procedures related to nursing servicesEnsure the safety of residents under your care or supervisionAdhere to all facility safety policies and proceduresDemonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduledWork cooperatively with administration, nursing personnel, physicians, community agencies, residents, families, and consultantsMaintain a clean, neat uniform and professional appearanceAccept assigned duties cooperatively and assume accountability for responsibilities outlined in the employee handbookDirect, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective actions as neededConduct daily resident rounds and report nursing care status to the Director of Nursing Service and AdministratorSupervise the implementation of nursing rehabilitation and restorative programsAssist with analysis of incident and accident investigation reports, determining causes and implementing corrective actions as appropriateComplete residents’ MDS assessments and care plans in a timely manner, with follow-up as neededReview newly admitted residents and compare physician orders with care plans to ensure accurate implementationParticipate in the Quality Assessment and Assurance Program for the nursing department in cooperation with the Quality Assurance CommitteePerform other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Graduate of an accredited School of NursingCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in PennsylvaniaExperience supervising nursing staff preferredKnowledge of restorative nursing, long-term care, and infection control proceduresStrong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skillsCommitment to customer service, teamwork, and professional developmentMust rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as scheduledMay be required to work during emergency conditions (short staffing, severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)May be asked to work overtime to ensure adequate staffing Additional InformationAs a FLEX (per diem) employee there is a minimum of 16 weekend hours per month.Why You’ll Love Working at Garden Spot At Garden Spot Village, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven team committed to compassion, respect, and integrity.
