Job Description

Responsible for the Opening and Closing of the Housekeeping Department.  Printing and assigning job duties for Room Attendants, Houseman and Custodian staff.  Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of Resort Guestrooms, hallways and landings in accordance with guest expectations and Resort Standards.  Conduct daily written inspections of guestrooms.  Communicate daily with the Front Desk in order to expedite guest check-in’s.Responsibilities Assist in the training, development and motivation of all room attendants, Houseman and CustodiansClosely monitor all employees’ performance to ensure productivity and adherence to resort policy and procedure.Ensure employees’ are in proper uniform and are up to personal appearance standardsConduct daily written inspections on guest roomsAssist with daily stand-up meetings to review essential daily informationReport all equipment deficiencies to Engineering in a timely mannerAssist with monthly and quarterly linen, terry, guest room supplies and amenities inventoriesFollow proper Lost and Found proceduresInspect and communicate efficiently and effectively all due our guestrooms to the Front Desk by 1:00 p.m. dailyHelp with daily inspection program and document results accordinglyCreate a positive safety culture within the department and address safety issues dailyActively participate in the Safety CommitteeSupport the training processSupport Engineering as needed especially as it pertains to equipment preventative maintenance programsSupport the Housekeeping Department and all other departments as requiredRequires the ability to provide “hands-on” supervisory responsibilities and to effectively motivate all staffAssist in cleaning guest rooms or public areas during high occupancy levels or staff shortagesAny and all reasonable requests of management Qualifications Knowledge of Cleaning products & equipment Ability to read, write and understand basic English in order to complete necessary reports and other Resort informationAbility to communicate effectively and pleasantly in English with guests and staff as is necessary to effectively run the departmentBasic knowledge to receive instructions in EnglishMin 2 years Room Attendant in luxury class hotel or resort property We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
