It is a secure building offering 40 memory support suites in 2 households. What You’ll Do Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of ConductFollow Residents’ Rights policies at all timesMaintain confidentiality of all resident information, including conditions and family mattersFollow established standards of nursing practice and implement facility policies and proceduresCommunicate pertinent information during and between shifts to ensure continuity of resident careConduct daily resident rounds and report problems to the nursing supervisor, initiating corrective actions as neededIdentify safety hazards and initiate corrective actions immediatelyParticipate in facility education programsSupervise CNAs providing direct resident care and coach them according to established schedulesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations within the assigned unitBuild relationships with residents and families to obtain daily preferences and communicate them to CNAs in alignment with Person-Centered Care philosophyAdminister and document direct resident care, medications, and treatments per physicians’ ordersNotify physicians of changes in resident condition, medication errors, abnormal lab/X-ray results, or any unusual observationsParticipate in development and implementation of resident interdisciplinary care plansRespond promptly to resident calls for assistanceCount narcotics, check emergency kits, and manage exchange keysProvide daily instruction to CNAs regarding care and treatment proceduresProvide direct resident care as necessary, in addition to supervisory dutiesCollaborate with residents, nursing staff, physicians, families, consultants, community agencies, and ancillary service providersParticipate in meal service while monitoring dietary needs of residentsOrder, receive, and store medications appropriatelyEnsure resident safety under your supervisionObserve all facility safety policies, including universal precautions for infectious waste and diseaseMaintain professional appearance and wear a clean, neat uniformDemonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduledParticipate in quality assurance activities and relevant in-services/training sessionsEngage residents in household activities, documenting participation and responses in PointClickCarePerform other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania under the State Board of NursingAbility to rotate shifts and work weekends as scheduledStrong organizational, initiative, judgment, dependability, and leadership skillsAbility to work congenially with others and delegate wiselyAbility to teach necessary skills for proper care and documentationExcellent customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with residents, families, physicians, and other visitorsMay rotate shifts and work Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as scheduledMay be available for evening/weekend activities or assist during weather emergencies Additional InformationOur Flex or Per-Diem schedule requires a minimum of 16 weekend hours per month.
