Protecting your income: Life Insurance, Accidental death & Dismemberment, Short Term Disability, HRA, Critical Illness, and generous Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual Preparing for your future: 401k Employer match and Roth Company paid: Life insurance $15k and Long-Term Disability Job purpose The role of a Certified Peer Supporter is to provide a clear message of hope and encouragement to individuals seeking recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders. The Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS) is part of the treatment team and shares from his/her own personal lived experience with recovery. The CPRS works with the CPRS Supervisor to support patients as they become familiar with the recovery process and to help them transition to the recovery community. This role is primarily focused on gambling addiction, treatment, and recovery. Duties and responsibilities Provides support to: Peer Services Supervisor as directed. Counseling and Nursing teams to help identify recovery support and clinical needs of the patient. Case Management by sharing experiences with safe and supportive housing and navigating community resources. Carries case load of individual patients (inpatient and outpatient), and provides Withdrawal Management Psychoeducation Groups, and/or Outpatient Recovery Peer Groups to assist with clients' transition to early recovery as needed. Completes all required documentation - treatment plans, progress notes, transfer/discharge summaries. Provides outreach to other agencies in the community and will support/assist referred individuals with becoming treatment-ready (i.e. hospital systems, jail systems, Quick Response Teams) Support Peer and Alumni functions including management of Recovery Support Group Meetings and Peer Mentor Volunteers, and other CAT functions through planning, preparation, and attendance as directed by CPRS Supervisor. Qualifications Must have direct lived experience consistent with CAT's recovering patients. Must be comfortable sharing one's own lived experience with others. Should have a thorough understanding of different pathways to recovery, including abstinence, harm reduction, and Medication-Assisted Treatment. Must have Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Supporter Certification issued by Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services within 6 months of hire date and working knowledge of a Peer Supporter's Scope of Practice. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office for data entry and data retrieval.
