POSITION SUMMARYThe Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing plant and production equipment, performing PMs, and completing work orders.Industrial Mechanic - Shift, 10: 00 pm - 6: 30 am.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Responsibilities include:Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and componentsUse hand and power tools as requiredPerform repairs and maintenance to mechanical and electrical equipment along with building systems.Conduct periodic equipment inspections as part of PM performance and evaluate requests for repairIdentify parts needed for replacement and place orders as necessaryMonitor the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment to ensure optimum usage and qualityEnsure compliance with company and regulatory requirementsSchedule and coordinate installation support and service operationsComplete all work in accordance with established safety proceduresMaintain equipment manuals, complete work orders and inspection reports, document work hours and other administrative tasks as requiredAccountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their positionEncouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issuesAdopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their positionEmpowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of workPerform other related duties as required and assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum Required QualificationsThree years of Industrial / Manufacturing mechanic experienceA high school diploma or equivalentMechanical, Pneumatics, and Electrical (120vac-480vac) knowledgeDetailed oriented and can multi-taskExcellent time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdditional Preferred QualificationsExperience in the food/beverage industry a plusPrevious experience in Manufacturing or production environment a plusProblem-solving skills
