Position: Nurses, Registered Location: Marcy NY (Onsite) Duration: 36 months Contract Healthcare Facility Name: Central New York Psychiatric Center Job Description Shift Days/Times: M-F, 8am - 4pm Basis for award, such as low price or best value (interview/past performance) or a combination of both. Best Value Justification: The award will be made to the vendor(s) who provide the best overall value based on availability and the qualifications of the candidate. The position is held in NYS Office of Mental Health unit within a maximum security correctional facility, under the supervision of Central New York Psychiatric Center(CNYPC). Requiring Registered Nurse for medication administration and management. Will be required to send copy of current license, registration and background check once selected. Candidate will be required to submit proof of TB testing and recent flu shot. Candidate will be also subject to CNYPC orientation. Job duties to include, but not limited to: 1. When RN arrives, gets verbal report from the nurse. 2. Process the MD orders (i.e. input the orders into CNET, print updated MARs, verify new MARs with 2nd RN) 3. Med passes 4. Document medications given, and refused 5. Control and tool count (with 2nd nurse) 6. Stock medication accountability- count stock medications and document on the appropriate form HRS: Varies to accommodate the needs of the unit. Hours may include every other weekend. Holidays may be required to ensure proper staff coverage. Exact shift and days to be determined during interview.
