Die Cast Die Maintenance Tech - 2nd shift

This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Thursday 3:15pm - 1:45am; with OT Friday and /or Saturday as requiredESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs Preventative Maintenance on both Cast and Trim dies once production requirements are satisfied and set up personnel has removed the Cast and Trim dies.Be Safety conscious in all aspects of Tool Maintenance and Repair, Perform LOTO as required.Reviews the last shot report (LIPR) and associated casting(s) to perform the maintenance and repairs required for all non-conformities and/or tooling improvements as assigned.Utilize various tools for Tooling PM and Maintenance as required.Verification of cavity inserts, core pins, ejection system, fasteners and pillars is required.Verification and Maintenance for the vacuum system, ensuring proper functioning is required.Sign off on all associated paperwork upon completion of tasks for die maintenance.Operate all tooling related equipment is a safe and conscious manner.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Mechanically inclined preferred.Knowledge of cast and trim die operation/function preferred.Strong mathematical skills required. Basic trigonometry desired, but not required.Ability to use Acetylene/Oxygen torch preferred.Able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.Ability to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail required.
