Part-Time Internship | 3–5 hours/week | $15/hour Duration: 3-month trial (with option to extend) About Home of Truth Home of Truth is an inclusive spiritual community in Alameda rooted in New Thought principles, interfaith values, and collective care. We host weekly Sunday gatherings, spiritual classes, music offerings, sound baths, and community events. Our space is also used by local artists, healers, and facilitators for workshops and gatherings. We’re in a season of renewal and growth, and we’re looking for a thoughtful, creative intern to help us show up more consistently online and connect with the wider East Bay community. About the Role This role is ideal for a high school senior, community college student, or early college student interested in: Social media Community organizing Spiritual spaces Arts & culture Nonprofit or grassroots organizations You’ll help maintain Home of Truth’s online presence across Instagram and Facebook, support promotion for events, and gently engage with the local community online. This is not about “going viral” — it’s about showing up consistently, warmly, and with care. You will be trained and supported during onboarding, with clear guidelines, templates, and workflows provided. Weekly Responsibilities (3–5 hours total) Post 2–3 pieces of content per week on Instagram and Facebook Examples: event flyers, short video clips from talks or music, reminders about Sunday gatherings Respond to basic comments and messages (with guidelines for what to escalate) Share relevant Home of Truth posts into approved local Facebook groups (when appropriate) Light engagement with local community pages (liking, commenting, resharing relevant events) Coordinate with Home of Truth leadership on what’s coming up that week Monthly Responsibilities Help plan a simple content calendar for the month Assist with promoting special events (movie nights, sound baths, classes, holiday services) Track basic engagement (likes, comments, saves, shares) Flag what types of posts seem to resonate most Offer simple ideas for new content formats (polls, quotes, short reflections, etc.) Training & Support You will receive: A full onboarding session Written posting guidelines (what to post, what not to post) Brand voice and tone examples Caption templates Access to scheduling tools (if applicable) Clear boundaries around what decisions you can make independently A point person for questions and approvals You are not expected to know everything. Curiosity, reliability, and care matter more than expertise.
