Production Fabricator - Tubing and Sheet Metal

Position Overview:This position will support our Production Department by fabricating components, tubing, and sheet metal used in the manufacture of specialty gas delivery systems. In addition to being able to read and understand drawings and job travelers, the applicant must also have experience with precision measuring tools and basic math, mechanical assembly, power tools, hand tools, and have good manual dexterity. The hours for this position are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday.Responsibilities Include: Read project drawings, work orders, and proceduresLayout, drill, tap, or punch holes in sheet metal enclosure unitsCut stainless steel tubing to length using an automatic sawFace stainless steel tubing to length using a tube facing toolBend stainless steel tubing to drawing spec using hand tube bendersPosition, align, and adjust components for proper fit & functionFabricate tubing and sheet metal to tight tolerances using calipers or other precision measuring toolsComplete production paperwork and recordkeepingMaintain a clean, neat, and safe work areaFollow company policy and production safety procedures Essential Skills: Quality/detail oriented with the ability to achieve repeatable resultsStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong appreciation for time management, priorities, and deadlines Requirements: Must have good vision and dexterityMust be able to stand, bend, twist, and sit throughout the day for extended periods of timeBe able to follow protocols and direction thoroughly and repetitively1-2 years' experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with the operation of common manufacturing tools and equipmentAbility to lift 50 lbs.Applied Energy Systems is an equal opportunity/ affirmative action employer.
