Join SimVentions, a top-rated workplace, as we seek a talented and experienced Senior Red Team Cybersecurity Tester! You will conduct penetration testing and lead offensive cybersecurity initiatives for U.S. Government and DoD systems, collaborating with Blue Team and Cybersecurity professionals to strengthen overall cyber defenses. Position Details: This opportunity is contingent upon the award of a contract, expected in August 2026. Travel requirements are negligible. Clearance Requirements: An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility is required for this position. Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access. U.S. Citizenship is necessary to obtain a clearance. Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering related to program development and DoD or IT systems. Proficient in both Linux and Windows environments. Extensive expertise with common Penetration Testing (PENTEST) tools including Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike. Experience in Red Team operations, tool/software development (exploits/malware, C2, reverse engineering, bug bounties). Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C, C Sharp, C++, Go, Perl, and Powershell. Knowledge of Web Development, Web App Development, and Web Penetration Testing. Experience with network and virtualization technologies including NSX, vCenter, and others. Knowledge of security policies and administration of systems using Palo Alto, Cisco, VMware, and Microsoft products. Experience managing identity and access in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, SSO, MFA, and Azure application integration. Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS and associated security best practices. Certification in one of the following: Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP. Certification as a penetration tester with qualifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or advanced SANS certifications. Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) events or engagement in security research leading to CVEs is a plus. Responsibilities: Debug and reverse engineer software while analyzing system logs from Windows and Linux environments. Program and debug applications using languages such as Java, Perl, C++, and create user interfaces. Recommend software improvements to mitigate vulnerabilities and enhance security posture. Identify security flaws in both compiled and source code. Apply NSA-approved encryption technologies and implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Utilize deceptive technologies in architectures for system security measures. Contribute to code reviews and author recommendations for software improvements. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $150,000, reflecting the importance of experience, education, clearance, and skill set.
