Engineering Test Technician

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Engineering Test Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in New Berlin, WI. Details for the position are as follows: Pay Rate: $40-43/hr Duration: 12 months (Strong possibility for extension/conversion based on performance and budget) Main Responsibilities Support design engineers with development activities, including component evaluation, prototype assembly, and product verification testing, specifically for VFDs. Execute product and prototype testing in accordance with approved test specifications, standards, and procedures; analyze results to confirm compliance with performance requirements. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and complete test reports, data records, and documentation. Perform safety and EMC certification testing in accordance with UL, CSA, and IEC standards and generate formal reports for submission to third-party certification agencies. Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. Requires working knowledge of variable frequency drive (VFD) design and operation. Must have proficiency in operating laboratory test equipment to obtain accurate measurements and interpret results effectively. Hands-on experience performing UL, CSA, and IEC compliance testing, particularly for drive (VFD) products.
