Job Summary and Qualifications Shift: 7pm-7am As a Vascular Access and Therapeutic Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in delivering specialized nursing care focused on IV therapy and enteral nutrition. You will utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure patient comfort and effective education on vascular access and nutritional needs. Additionally, you will implement prescribed medical interventions for defined patient populations across Mission and partner hospitals. Your responsibilities will include performing enteral feeding tube placements while following strict guidelines to ensure patient safety and well-being. What qualifications you will need: Required Experience: Proven experience as a Vascular Access specialist, skilled in difficult peripheral access, central venous catheter care, and troubleshooting occlusions. Experience in PICC insertion with real-time ultrasound and PICC tip location systems. You should also be capable of training to insert midline catheters and enteral feeding tubes. Preferred Experience: Background in data collection and outcome measurement for vascular access and enteral procedures. Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing; must either hold a BSN or enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete it within 4 years of hiring. Preferred Education: Master's in Nursing or equivalent training for enteral feeding tube placement. Required License: Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC licenses may apply. Required Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification. Preferred Certifications: National Certification VA-BC or CRNI within two years of hire.
