Territory: Huntsville - Birmingham North, AL - Neurology Target area for territory is Huntsville - will consider candidates who live within 40 miles of territory boundaries with access to a major airport. Territory boundaries include: Huntsville, Florence, downtown Birmingham UAB & Gadsden and Anniston AL. As a BioPharmaceuticals Account Executive, you will spearhead the promotion of our infusion products by generating demand through in-depth clinical knowledge and executing strategic marketing initiatives. You will collaborate to provide necessary services that meet the needs of every account and customer. Our executives excel in navigating today's challenging commercialization landscape by demonstrating strong capabilities in the following areas: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Business Planning & Account Leadership - Utilize digital tools and analytical insights to identify opportunities, develop strategic plans, and optimize resources for enhanced territory performance. Selling - Communicate effectively and compellingly to customers, probe their needs to address objections, and always conclude interactions with a commitment to action, inspiring changes in behavior. Customer Development - Approach account management with an entrepreneurial mindset to access, build, and sustain productive relationships through excellent communication and collaboration driven by customer and organizational goals. Payer Access - Understand complex reimbursement and distribution landscapes, proactively address payer access challenges for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial, and utilize Lundbeck resources effectively. Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise - Gather and analyze market trends, identify key opportunities, and possess comprehensive therapeutic knowledge to enhance patient and customer care. Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance - Apply your understanding of the pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, including Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations, maintaining accountability and compliance with all guidelines. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution. 4+ years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales experience. Proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive account plans. Exceptional communication skills and a self-motivated work ethic. Demonstrated consistent sales performance. Ability to excel in product knowledge training and certify annually. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must reside within 40 miles of designated territory boundaries. A valid driver's license with a safe driving history is required. Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare provider/customer facilities to maintain employment. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Experience within a specialty product sales force. Background in infusion or rare disease sales in outpatient infusion settings and specialty pharmacy, particularly regarding pricing and reimbursement. Neurology-specific experience, particularly in migraine treatment. Familiarity with the medical or specialty pharmacy benefit markets. Prior experience engaging high-influence customers in various healthcare environments. Experience participating in product launches or expansions within new therapeutic classes. Strong analytical skills and experience using sales data to identify market trends. Leadership involvement in committees or similar professional activities. TRAVEL: Willingness to travel domestically up to 30% - 40% to connect with customers within the territory and attend 4-8 various conferences nationwide, ensuring timely travel completion. The national salary range for this role is between $155,000 and $172,000, along with a sales incentive target of $41,500.
