Multi-line Risk Engineering Specialist Zurich's Middle Markets Risk Engineering team is actively seeking a dynamic Risk Engineering Consultant or Senior Risk Engineering Consultant with comprehensive Property and Casualty Risk Engineering experience to bolster the Middle Market Underwriting Business Unit. This position offers the flexibility of working from home and is ideally suited for candidates in Colorado, though applications from Utah and Reno, NV are also welcome. A company vehicle is provided, and the role anticipates travel of up to 50% of the time. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough field engineering risk assessments and implement risk improvement strategies for both prospective and existing accounts. While many tasks can be performed virtually, some travel will be required within the designated region. Offer specialized engineering support to underwriting teams and participate in meetings with clients and brokers as necessary. Oversee account risk portfolios, delivering tailored engineering services to satisfy underwriting prerequisites. Provide in-depth consultative services regarding property and casualty risks, identifying significant loss exposures, investigating the causes of major losses, and assessing the effectiveness of property/casualty management programs. Develop and implement customer service strategies aimed at reducing losses while enhancing operational efficiencies for clients. Monitor the delivery of property and casualty account engineering services to guarantee they are effective, timely, and economical. Assist in promoting Zurich resilience solutions and risk transfer insurance products in collaboration with underwriting professionals across various business segments. Basic Qualifications: For Risk Engineering Consultant: Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 3 years in the Risk Engineering sector within Property & Casualty, OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Risk Engineering within Property & Casualty. For Senior Risk Engineering Consultant: Bachelor’s Degree with 6 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering within Property & Casualty, OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Risk Engineering within Property & Casualty, OR Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associate's degree and at least 6 years of experience in Risk Engineering within Property & Casualty. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in team collaboration. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, Health and Safety, or related field. Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Experience in HPR Property, and knowledge of manufacturing, health science, or technology industries. Experience overseeing accounts as a Loss Control/Risk Engineering consultant for middle market or large customers across various property and casualty lines, including Auto, General and Products Liability, Worker's Compensation, and more. Skilled in managing safety services for clients with multiple locations. Expertise in safety management programs that mitigate workplace hazards and educate staff on safety measures. Able to conduct safety training for diverse groups across all business levels. Exceptional communication and consultative skills focused on results. Strong collaboration capabilities and a proven track record of working effectively within team settings. Highly proficient in computer applications and related systems. Your compensation at Zurich is determined by your role, location, qualifications, and experience. We adhere to local laws to guarantee equitable pay. The nationwide salary range for this role is $75,800.00 - $164,100.00. For the Risk Engineering Consultant level, the salary is set at $75,800.00 - $124,100.00, with a short-term incentive bonus eligibility of 10%. The Senior Risk Engineering Consultant level is offered at $100,200.00 - $164,100.00, with a short-term incentive bonus eligibility of 15%.
