You will primarily diagnose and treat dogs and cats. Daily responsibilities will include performing surgeries and dental procedures, treating illness/injury and urgent care cases, performing wellness exams, prescribing medications, and spaying/neutering. We do a large volume of wellness visits, have a wonderful trained support team, and awesome clientele. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you. Our recently remodeled clinic is complete with digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house Heska lab, surgical suite, large treatment area, and an awesome staff.ResponsibilitiesProvide routine examinationsDiagnose illnesses and injuries and recommend treatmentPerform surgeries including dental, ophthalmic, and soft tissueAdminister vaccinationsPerform spay and neuter surgeriesPrescribe medicationAdvise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-beingAbility to document accurate client records in a timely fashionQualificationsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, licensed in Minnesota or ability to obtainPrevious work experience as a veterinarianKnowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia proceduresSkilled and comfortable with soft tissue and dental surgical proceduresStrong, motivated team work ethic and positive communication skillsAbility to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms for our clientsProblem-solving skillsWeekday shifts available Mondays and Fridays 8-5, and Tuesday and Thursdays 8-2, or 2-8.No on-call, one weekend shift (Sat 9-12) per month on a rotating basis with our other associatesPatience and a love for animals
