Position Overview: The Landscaping Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the pristine environment of our grounds and golf course. You will work on various tasks to improve the landscapes, ensuring they look their best year-round. If you're passionate about outdoor work and have some experience in grounds maintenance, we want to hear from you! Reporting Structure: Reports to Equipment Manager or Superintendent. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate equipment for mowing and maintaining grounds. Utilize light machinery for hauling materials and debris removal. Water and fertilize plants to encourage healthy growth. Prepare soil for planting, including grading beds, as well as installing sod and seeds. Maintain aesthetic landscaping by trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and cultivating flowers. Complete daily tasks to maintain high cleanliness standards across the property. Additional Responsibilities: Assist team members with various tasks as needed. Adhere to all company and department policies and procedures. Interact professionally with members and staff, promoting excellence in service. Follow safety guidelines diligently and promote a safe working environment. Tackle challenges effectively with available resources, collaborating with regional and corporate teams. Participate in daily meetings to stay engaged and informed with the team. Qualifications: Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Preferred: Knowledge in landscape management or groundskeeping maintenance. Physical Requirements: Work primarily outdoors, frequently exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Engage in physical activities including lifting up to 100 lbs., as well as walking, climbing, and bending. Tools and Equipment: Construction tools (shovels, axes, etc.) Gardening tools (pruners, rakes, etc.) Blowers, grass mowers, and tractors. Work Schedule: Your work hours will be outlined in your weekly schedule. Additional hours on weekends or holidays may be required to meet project deadlines.
