Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will: Work with engineers on new product development teamsDevelop and revise 3D CAD models (including parts and complex assemblies) for prototype and production applicationsPrepare and revise technical drawings for all different types of components (machined, sheet metal, plastic / composite, tubing) and assembliesCreate, perform, and review engineering change orders (ECOs)Prepare and update BOMsPrepare product specification sheetsPrepare quality assurance documentsCreate and maintain drawing and model library in Autodesk Inventor and VaultCreate and maintain Mainstream Engineering modeling and drawing standards Position Requirements BS in an engineering disciplineMinimum of 2 years' experience in product related mechanical design and draftingGPA not less than 3.3 for all degreesUnited States citizen required due to ITAR restrictionsUnderstanding of Engineering/Mechanical principlesKnowledge of manufacturing processesKnowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) (ASME Y14.5-2009)Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 2024 or newerProficiency with Autodesk Vault 2024 or newer (preferred) Mainstream Engineering Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
