Overview The Environmental Project Manager will take on a pivotal role by managing projects, leading teams, ensuring profitability, and maintaining positive client relationships. This position entails overseeing field operations, preparing technical proposals, handling project budgets, mentoring staff, and ensuring project timelines are met. The Project Manager will also engage with local civic, professional, and business organizations to enhance our regional presence. Responsibilities Manage projects related to due diligence, site remediation, regulatory compliance, and permitting. Balance team assignments and workloads in a fast-paced environment. Contribute to business development efforts. Ensure quality control across all projects. Navigate permitting processes with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Provide hands-on field supervision and coordinate with subcontractors. Prepare technical proposals for potential projects. Oversee financial management, including accounts receivable, project budgeting, and scheduling. Maintain client satisfaction and manage relationships effectively. Mentor and develop junior staff. Utilize strong writing and computer skills. Engage in professional networking and marketing. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in Site Remediation, including due diligence, site and remedial investigation, remediation design, and implementation. NJDEP Subsurface Evaluator/Closure Certification is a plus. Professional Geologist certification is a plus. Completion of 40-Hour HAZWOPER training. Valid driver's license. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam. Familiarity with New Jersey LSRP support services (e.g., forms, reports, web-portal, deadlines). Strong field experience and knowledge in the environmental domain. Experience with remediation design and implementation services. Knowledge of soil characterization and waste management. Ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies and review professionals. Competence in using online resources for due diligence and site investigations. Experience in construction oversight for site work. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Strong independent and critical thinking abilities. Superior organizational and delegation skills. A collaborative spirit for leading a team-oriented environment focused on staff development. Experience in client management.
