Powder Coat Line Leader (1st shift) Position Summary Do you enjoy leading a team by helping them to learn and to achieve goals? We're looking for a motivated and experienced Powder Coat Line Leader to join our growing team and help lead daily work in our Powder Coat operation. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and has a strong background in industrial finishing processes (preferably powder coating), leads by example, and can thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.You will train and help lead a team of operators to meet production goals while upholding the highest standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the powder coating line, including pre-treatment, coating, curing, and quality inspection Train, coach, and provide daily direction to team members to improve productivity and skills Assign tasks and monitor the performance of line workers to meet production goals Ensure all parts are coated to proper specifications and meet internal and customer quality standards Conduct line start-up and shut-down procedures and oversee equipment operation Coordinate with upstream (fabrication) and downstream (assembly/packaging) teams to maintain workflow Train new team members and reinforce best practices for safety, quality, and efficiency Monitor inventory of powder, hooks, masks, and supplies - notify supervisor of low stock or other issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and production delays to supervisors and maintenance teams, helping to create and implement solutions Maintain accurate production records and communicate shift reports Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste, improve finishes, and increase efficiency The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, representing the typical expectations for the role Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in a powder coating or finishing operation Prior experience in a lead, team leader, or supervisory role Strong working knowledge of powder application, pre-treatment, masking, and curing processes Ability to operate and troubleshoot coating equipment, ovens, and conveyors Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control in a finishing environment Capable of reading production schedules and interpreting work instructions or blueprints Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and accountability Comfortable using basic computer systems and production tracking tools Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods in a production environment High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels Why You'll Love Working Here Opportunity to make a real impact on the success of the operation Be part of a team that values innovation, efficiency, and craftsmanship Opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership in a dynamic manufacturing environment Competitive pay and benefits including medical/dental/vision Working Environment On-site role in a production facility-daily presence on the shop floor is a must Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facilities and perform the above-mentioned responsibilities International travel will be required for training Pay $25.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid holidays Paid time off IRA with matching $ Ready to join a company that puts people and safety first?
