Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCompany: Schultheis & Panettieri, LLPPosition: Travel Payroll Compliance AuditorJob Location: New York with travel to various areas of the USASalary Range: $58,000-$65,000CPA firm specializing in labor unions and related benefit fund audits seeks a traveling Payroll Compliance Auditor to ensure employers make contributions to benefit funds in compliance with applicable agreements. This position will require local and overnight travel, up to 30-40%. Employees who travel will be eligible for mile reimbursement and travel stipends. Background in Auditing not essential. We will train the right candidates. Payroll professionals, bookkeepers, data analysts and recent college graduates encouraged to apply! Multiple positions available. Great atmosphere and excellent benefits.Job Responsibilities: Analyze payroll and related records to ensure completeness and compare to pension and health fund dataAnalyze general ledgers and cash disbursement recordsCommunicate with employers to ensure all eligible participants receive the benefits they are entitled toPrepare various schedules and reports and then explain the results to all parties involved Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferredStrong analytical skillsStrong Excel/database skillsBasic knowledge of payroll and tax records a plus but not required.Adept at problem solving ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actionsResponsible team player who can work independently as wellAbility to communicate clearly, both written and orally We are proud of our great work environment, and we offer a competitive and excellent benefits package.
