Description Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observation techniques. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language abilities, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care approaches. Provide education to patients and families that empowers progress beyond the therapy environment. Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to remain informed about advancements in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, possessing a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech and language disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary care teams.
