Registered Nurse

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides skilled nursing care to patients in various stages of labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. This role requires floating as needed and managing patients with diagnoses such as Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn. The RN will perform procedures including vaginal delivery, Cesarean delivery, circulating in the OR, and starting adult IVs. Location:Edmonds, Washington, United States Responsibilities: - Administer blood and blood products. - Manage drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps. - Administer medications such as insulin and magnesium sulfate. - Circulate in C-sections. - Manage high-risk antepartum and L&D patients. - Provide care in LDRP, low-risk antepartum/LD, and OB-GYN settings. - Provide post-operative and pre-operative couplet care. - Perform patient assessments. - Administer medications. - Develop and implement treatment plans. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Required Skills & Certifications: - Active Registered Nurse license. - BLS certification. - NRP certification. - AWHONN Intermediate certification. - FHM certification. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, PP, and Newborn care. - Clinical Assessment skills. - Medication Administration skills. - Treatment Planning skills. - Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills. - Ability to circulate in C-sections. - Ability to start adult IVs. Preferred Skills & Certifications: - ACLS certification. - Experience circulating. - FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) experience. - IV start skills. Special Considerations: - Must float as needed. - Must have been separated from any Providence-affiliated facility for at least 3 months to qualify for a travel position. - All Swedish facilities honor active compact licenses.
