Your Role As the Principal of Health Technology Solutions with a focus on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), you will be vital in developing market strategies and capturing opportunities within the CMS organization. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to design and deliver innovative digital solutions, merging Abt’s diverse expertise into unique offerings for CMS clients. This dynamic position encompasses technology leadership and strategic growth vision: you will spearhead cutting-edge tool development while shaping Abt's digital health strategies, client interactions, and enduring portfolio. Situated at the intersection of health, government services, and digital transformation, you will cultivate scalable tech products and solutions that improve health outcomes and enhance service delivery. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams—including data scientists, policy experts, software engineers, and client engagement staff—you will ensure our solutions are user-centered, compliant, and secure. Core Responsibilities Market Strategy Development Analyze customer behaviors and program needs to inform strategic decisions. Utilize your expertise in digital operations to engage key customers and stakeholders effectively. Maintain an updated understanding of the competitive landscape to devise differentiated strategies and establish strategic partnerships. Product and Solution Vision Develop a health IT growth strategy that aligns with federal priorities and client needs. Translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable, technology-enabled solutions. Identify opportunities for innovation within health programs, such as health data analytics, interoperability, and digital health platforms. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development Act as a trusted advisor to government clients, collaborating to advance health program effectiveness. Assist in business development by crafting proposals and showcasing Abt's capabilities to differentiate in the marketplace. Oversee technology solution assessments and responses to RFPs, ensuring alignment with proposal needs. Collaborate with technology partners to elevate Abt's digital health offerings. Serve as a thought leader, representing Abt in industry forums and client engagements. Technology Development & Delivery Lead the creation and deployment of health tech solutions, ensuring usability, scalability, and compliance with relevant regulations. Partner with delivery and engineering teams to develop prototypes and enhance products continuously. Represent Abt's comprehensive capabilities, including cloud services and application development. Team Leadership Build and mentor a dedicated team of analysts, engineers, and UX designers focused on health technology innovation. Promote a culture of innovation and evidence-driven development. Collaborate with client leads to shape proposals and introduce new solutions to market. Strengthen Abt's capacity for innovative service offerings that extend beyond traditional research consulting. Qualifications We Value Bachelor's Degree + Fifteen years of experience, or Master’s Degree + Twelve years of experience, or PhD + Ten years of experience A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred). A strong market orientation and a desire to drive customer engagement and demand generation. Experience with Government RFPs, including written volumes and oral presentations. 10+ years in technology product development, with at least 5 years in the health or government sector. Proven success in delivering digital health products for U.S. government agencies (e.g., CMS, state Medicaid programs). Solid understanding of health IT standards, data privacy regulations, and emerging digital health trends. A demonstrated ability to integrate solution development with strategic business growth, preferably in a consulting environment. Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Change management leadership experience in technology implementation. This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $186,000 to $250,000, which may vary by ten percent based on geographic location.
