The Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Staff AI Developer Experience Engineer to architect and build the foundational platform enabling teams across the enterprise to create, deploy, and manage AI agents, applications, and automations. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, developer tooling, and generative AI, focused on democratizing AI capabilities through exceptional developer experiences.Our ideal candidate combines deep platform engineering expertise with hands-on experience in generative AI tooling. You'll design the APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and workflows that make it effortless for engineering teams to leverage AI capabilities, while ensuring production-grade reliability, observability, and security.What You Will Do?Platform Backend & API Development Build comprehensive REST APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that expose platform capabilities to developersDevelop robust Python and TypeScript SDKs with intuitive abstractions for agent developmentEnsure feature parity between programmatic interfaces and low-code platform capabilitiesArchitect scalable backend services including LLM gateways, knowledge hubs, and tool registries Developer Experience Optimization Design intuitive development workflows and create scaffolding templates that minimize friction from idea to productionBuild reusable workflow components and abstractions for common AI development patternsCreate comprehensive documentation, tutorials, quickstarts, and example projects that enable self-service adoptionBuild programmatic interfaces for agent creation, testing, deployment, and managementChampion developer feedback loops and continuously iterate on platform usability based on user research Observability & Evaluation Build and integrate debugging, tracing, and observability tools purpose-built for AI applicationsImplement evaluation frameworks to systematically measure and improve agent quality, reliability, and performanceCreate testing and validation frameworks tailored for AI agent behaviors and LLM-powered workflowsDesign dashboards and analytics that give developers visibility into agent performance and usage patterns Security & Compliance Implement guardrails, content filtering, and safety measures to ensure responsible AI deploymentDesign secure patterns for credential management, API authentication, and data access controlsEnsure platform compliance with enterprise security policies and data governance requirements Research & Innovation Keep pace with the rapidly evolving AI landscape by experimenting with new models, frameworks, and techniquesEvaluate emerging standards and tooling to inform platform roadmap and adoption decisionsShare learnings with the broader team and contribute to the organization's AI strategy and best practices What You Will Bring?Core Technical Skills Expert programming skills in Python and TypeScript, with the ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented, and idiomatic code in both languagesSubstantial experience designing and building RESTful APIs, SDKs, and developer-facing toolingDeep understanding of API design principles, versioning strategies, and developer ergonomicsProficiency with async programming, message queues, and event-driven architectures Platform Development Experience Strong experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure-as-code practicesExperience building and operating developer platforms, internal tooling, or platform-as-a-service offeringsStrong debugging skills and experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing) Generative AI Experience Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similarUnderstanding of RAG architectures, embedding models, and vector databasesFamiliarity with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, Pydantic) and multi-agent orchestration patternsExperience with prompt engineering, templating systems, and systematic prompt optimization Soft Skills & Leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear technical documentationStrong product sense and empathy for developer usersAbility to navigate ambiguity and make pragmatic technical decisions in a rapidly evolving spaceTrack record of driving adoption of tools and platforms across engineering organizations #LI-AT1 Please refer to our Candidate Privacy Notice for more information about how we process your personal information, and your data protection rights.
