Description: Using a multidisciplinary approach, the OR staff cares for patients of all ages in both scrub and circulating roles for ophthalmology operating room. Job duties include providing care in a high-stakes environment. Candidates must possess a New York state RN license. A minimum of two years of operating room experience is required. Experience in a level 1 trauma hospital is highly desired. Candidates must be able to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures. Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics is required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required. ACLS certification is preferred. The position primarily involves Monday to Friday days with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends.
