Job Summary The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs routine and standardized clinical laboratory testing using established procedures and equipment. This role supports accurate diagnosis and patient care by preparing specimens, conducting analytical testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and documenting results in compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and standardized laboratory tests using approved techniques and instrumentation Prepare, label, store, and process patient specimens accurately Resolve specimen issues and perform analytical testing Prepare reagents, standards, and control materials Monitor reagent levels and assist with inventory and supply maintenance Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory records Report abnormal or out-of-range results to supervisors or ordering physicians Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed Instruct patients on test preparation requirements (e.g., fasting) Answer patient questions related to laboratory testing Assist with training new employees, students, or residents when assigned Support daily laboratory operations and participate in special projects Education & Certification Requirements Associate’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Chemical Science, or Biological Science ASCP or MLT (AMT) certification – required Additional Information: Location: Goldsboro, NC 27534Schedule: 5x8 2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm | 40 hours/week | 8-hour shiftsContract Length: 13 weeksPay Rate: $45 - $48/hour About PRIDE Health PRIDE Health is the minority-owned healthcare recruitment division of Pride Global—an integrated human capital solutions and advisory firm.
