Position Type: Support Staff/Part Time Cafeteria Staff Date Posted: 6/27/2025 Location: Tri West High School Date Available: 07/31/2025 Closing Date: TBD Position: Part-Time Cafeteria Worker Location: Tri-West High School Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Cafeteria Manager Job Summary: The Part-Time Cafeteria Worker assists in the preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals in a school cafeteria setting. The position supports daily food service operations to ensure students receive nutritious, safe, and appealing meals in a clean and welcoming environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in preparing and serving breakfast and lunch according to planned menus and portion standards Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, warmers, and dishwashers Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including dishwashing and surface cleaning Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as established by the Indiana Department of Health Assist with inventory management and proper food storage Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and fellow team members Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and follow the direction of the cafeteria manager Perform other duties as assigned to support the food service operation Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred Previous food service experience preferred but not required Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability required Must pass a criminal background check Schedule: Part-time, school-year position Approximately 3-4 hours per day, Monday-Friday
