About the role Seeking a Junior Backend Software Developer to join the OST FS2 Aero team in Saint Louis, MO. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing backend systems for aeronautical navigation using cloud and web technologies. Job Responsibilities Modify and integrate backend software solutions supporting aeronautical navigation. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues in backend systems including REST APIs and databases. Develop and document new and existing software functionality using GitLab and DevOps tools. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, planning, and increment reviews. Use cloud computing expertise to administer and modify existing government off-the-shelf (GOTS) code. Develop APIs and integrate databases for web applications using Redux and React frameworks. Collaborate with team members to assess and test software tickets against acceptance criteria. Apply best practices in the unit and build testing to ensure software quality. Willingness to work core hours 9 am-3 pm ET with occasional evening or weekend shifts. Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile software development teams.
