Position Overview: UNRL is seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Product Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of new products, from concept to final sample. Key responsibilities include creating detailed tech packs and partnering directly with manufacturers to develop, review, and refine prototype samples until they are approved for bulk production. Developers are responsible for ensuring the final product meets (or exceeds) our quality standards, margin requirements, and deadlines. This role requires strong project management skills, along with a keen eye for garment construction, fit, materials and design details. Our ideal candidate is someone with at least five years of relevant experience in the apparel industry. Key Responsibilities: Build out comprehensive tech packs with clear instructions to turn design concepts into final production-ready prototypes Communicate product details, timelines, evaluation comments, and all other pertinent information Track and manage project developments through Monday .com Project Board to ensure PPS rounds are on track, production deadlines are met, and costing meets company expectations Communicate updates across departments to keep all stakeholders informed Evaluate prototypes for Design, Fit, Fabric & Trims; Send evaluation comments to suppliers and fine-tune each garment until it is production-ready Measure garments to compare actuals against requested specs; Perform fit evaluations to analyze and adjust specs until the perfect fit is achieved Maintain a cohesive fit across our product lines by ensuring consistency in our grading process Establish target pricing and costing for new products; Work with suppliers to ensure gross margin requirements are met Initiate internal and 3rd party wash & wear testing to ensure the functionality and durability of each garment Manage and organize proto samples, lab dips, fabric swatches, trims and other materials Coordinate photoshoot-ready samples, with the factories, to ensure we have photo shoot and SMS samples in time for our teams Source new fabrics, trims and suppliers globally to ensure we are on the cutting edge of new innovations Requirements 5+ years of experience in Product Development in grading, garment construction, and technical design processes specific to apparel 3+ years of experience measuring garments, creating spec sheets and grading tables Keen eye for identifying quality designs, textiles, trims, and workmanship Strong understanding of performance fabrics and garment construction is preferred Vast knowledge of sewing techniques, stitching properties and construction details Deadline and detail oriented with strong project management skills Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency Experience with print/pattern and other graphic design styles is preferred Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, Costing and Gross Margin Benefits Health & Dental Insurance (Immediate Eligibility) Vision Insurance (Immediate Eligibility) 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match (Eligibility begins after 1 year of employment) Annual 401(k) Profit Share Bonus (Eligibility begins after 1 year of employment) UNRL annual contribution to HSA Discount on UNRL Product Access to Trackman Golf Simulator Lounge at UNRL HQ Paid time off (PTO) + 7 paid holidays The starting salary for this full-time position is between $80,000 and $105,000, based on qualifications. However, there is a broader salary range that allows for future growth and advancement. Salary levels are determined by factors such as the role, experience level, and job location. Within the established range, compensation is influenced by skills, competencies, relevant experience, education, training, and market demand
