Job Description

We are dedicated to expanding our team of highly skilled, patient-centered nurses. Our Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, 12-month formalized pathway designed to bridge the gap between education and practice. The first six months feature a blended day and night orientation alongside monthly residency classes. Following orientation, residents transition to a 72-hour bi-weekly night shift schedule while continuing their monthly residency seminars. This phase offers the flexibility of self-scheduling with minimal weekend requirements (only five weekend shifts over a six-week period) and limited holiday rotations. We are seeking 2025 or 2026 RN graduates, or Registered Nurses with less than one year of professional experience. The Program Experience Our curriculum utilizes a blended learning approach-combining hands-on clinical practice, interactive classroom sessions, and online modules-to sharpen your critical thinking, prioritization, and time management skills. Residents will orient and work 36 hours per week on our Inpatient Medical/Surgical unit. Your schedule will consist of a blend of days and nights, tailored to preceptor availability and the evolving needs of the unit. Why Choose Our Residency? Guaranteed Placement: Upon successful completion, you are guaranteed a full-time position on days or nights (based on unit needs). Safe Staffing: We prioritize patient safety and nurse well-being with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios. Expert Mentorship: Benefit from a dedicated preceptor and a supportive, knowledgeable Education team. Positive Culture: Join a collaborative environment that values your growth. Competitive Compensation: Includes annual merit increases and bi-annual organizational performance bonuses. Education/Licensure: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Nebraska RN license. Compact state licensees must declare Nebraska as their primary residence within 30 days and obtain a Nebraska permit or license. Certifications: Current BLS required at hire; ACLS and PALS required within 90 days. Preferred Assets: Prior hospital experience, completed preceptorships, and a nursing GPA of 3.0 or higher. Comprehensive Benefits We offer a robust benefits package to support your life and career: Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance (Short & Long Term). Financial Future: 401(k) with company match and Flexible Spending Accounts. Career Growth: Tuition Reimbursement and continuous professional development. Perks: Paid Time Off, Uniform Reimbursement, and 24/7 access to our onsite Wellness Center.
