The Privacy Specialist will provide dedicated privacy support for CoverMyMeds, helping ensure the organization meets all legal, regulatory, and contractual privacy obligations. This role will partner closely with product teams, security, legal, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to proactively identify privacy risks, support compliant product development, and help maintain a solid culture of patient data protection. Must be able to work Hybrid or Onsite if located in the Columbus area. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, information governance, security, or related risk roles-preferably in healthcare or technology. Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and U.S. state privacy laws. Privacy certification (CIPP/US, CHPC, CIPM, CHPSE, or similar). salary: $90 - $116.75 per hour shift: First work hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM education: Bachelors Responsibilities Assist with the management of privacy incidents and breach response activities, including assessment, containment coordination, evidence gathering, and reporting. Support administration of patient rights requests (access, amendment, accounting, etc.) under HIPAA and applicable state laws. Maintain documentation related to privacy compliance activities, controls, and risk assessments.
