License: A valid Echocardiography license from ARDMS or CCI is required or registry eligible. Certifications: Current CPR certification is required. Must-Have: - Associates of Science degree in a health care field and successful completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program. - Successful completion of a two-year Echocardiogram training program. - Eligibility for on-site training with an Associates of Science in a health care field or a Bachelor's degree in a health care-related field with two years of cardiac-related health care experience. - Ability and knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures and differentiating artifacts. - Ability to lift 75 lbs. and shared lifting of 150 lbs. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. - Willingness to share responsibility to cover call, weekends, and holidays. Description: Under the direction of the Director, operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment and produces cardiac images according to policy and protocol. Examinations performed include adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and pediatric echocardiograms. Responsible for assuring a high level of quality in all exams and providing the interpreting physician with all the necessary information to make an accurate diagnosis. Collaborates with other departments to provide procedures in a timely and efficient manner for all involved.
