Regulatory Affairs Specialist - OnSite: Tampa, FL Job summary Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Regulatory Affairs team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with backgrounds in engineering, information systems, data analytics, environmental science, supply chain, or other STEM-related disciplines who are interested in applying their technical and organizational skills in a regulatory and operations environment. This position focuses on managing regulatory data, supporting structured reporting processes, coordinating across departments, and helping translate regulatory requirements into clear internal processes. Prior experience with furniture regulations is not required 4- training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with organized data, structured documentation, and cross-functional collaboration while building long-term expertise in compliance and operations. Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Data & Documentation Support Maintain and organize compliance documentation, including test reports, certifications, supplier data, and product records. Track regulatory requirements across product categories using spreadsheets or database systems. Support preparation of regulatory reports and filings by gathering and validating required information. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance databases. Help standardize documentation formats and reporting templates. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, and Product Development teams to collect required compliance information. Follow up with suppliers to obtain documentation and required data. Assist with internal compliance reviews for new and existing products. Support communication of regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders. Regulatory Research & Learning Monitor and summarize regulatory updates impacting furniture products (e.g., CPSC, TSCA/CARB, labeling requirements, PFAS reporting, Lacey Act). Assist senior regulatory team members in interpreting new requirements. Learn how regulatory requirements translate into documentation and operational processes. Note: Direct regulatory experience is not required. Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn are essential. Process & Reporting Improvement Identify opportunities to improve documentation tracking and reporting efficiency. Assist in developing simple dashboards or tracking tools to monitor compliance status. Support internal audits and documentation reviews. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in one of the following (or related field): Engineering Information Systems / IT Computer Science Environmental Science Supply Chain / Operations Mathematics / Data Analytics Other STEM-related disciplines Recent graduates with relevant internships or project experience are encouraged to apply. Experience 0-3 years of relevant experience in data management, compliance support, quality systems, supply chain coordination, project coordination, or technical administrative roles. Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in structured data management or reporting is acceptable. Regulatory experience is a plus but not required. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow structured processes. Comfortable working with spreadsheets and structured data. Basic understanding of databases or enterprise systems (ERP experience a plus). Analytical mindset - able to interpret technical requirements and organize information clearly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
