Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - 13-Week Contract | Bridgeport, CT (06606) Travel OR RN job at a hospital in Bridgeport, CT (06606) supporting a busy surgical services department. Join a collaborative perioperative team in Bridgeport with easy access to coastal Connecticut and the greater NYC area. Job Details (Travel Nursing Contract) Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Travel Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut (CT) 06606 Contract Dates: 03/23/2026 - 06/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours/week Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500-$2,630/week Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts Schedule: Primarily AM shifts (approximately 6:30a-5:00p); about 30% may be 1:00p-11:30p based on department needs Weekends: Occasional weekend work as needed On-Call Requirement: 6 weekday calls and 6 weekend calls per 6-week schedule Openings: 4 Qualifications & Requirements (OR RN / Perioperative Nursing) Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-compliant) BLS certification (AHA) At least 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) RN / perioperative RN experience Experience across multiple surgical service lines strongly preferred (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Urology, GYN, Plastics) Robotic surgery experience preferred (DaVinci and/or Mako Ortho) EMR experience preferred (Epic) Supply/instrument tracking experience preferred (SurgiCount, TECSYS) Previous travel nursing experience preferred Key Responsibilities (Operating Room RN - Scrub & Circulate) Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across pre-op, intra-op, and immediate post-op phases as assigned Scrub and/or circulate for a variety of procedures, prioritizing patient safety, sterility, and efficiency Support orthopedic cases including total knee replacements and total hip arthroplasty (anterior and posterior approaches) Assist with complex cases including neuro (e.g., cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy), ENT, urology, plastics, GYN, and general surgery Support robotic procedures and coordinate equipment needs, room setup, and troubleshooting as appropriate Perform accurate surgical counts and documentation; collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team Maintain compliance with infection prevention standards, OR policies, and patient safety protocols Participate in on-call coverage and respond promptly to urgent surgical needs Apply now to join our perioperative healthcare team for this Travel OR RN contract in Bridgeport, CT.
