Description Conduct thorough evaluations for a range of age groups by utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing communication skills, voice mechanics, fluency issues, and swallowing difficulties. Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to develop holistic care plans. Provide education to patients and their families, equipping them with the tools to support progress beyond the therapy room. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations, ensuring that continuity of care is upheld throughout every patient's treatment journey. Maintain detailed and timely documentation, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational protocols. Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative opportunities with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of joining. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all age groups, demonstrating a keen understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, facilitating open dialogue with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
