Description Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized tools and observational studies. Craft individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers to devise unified care plans. Provide essential education for patients and families to facilitate progress in between sessions. Participate in select inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring care continuity throughout the therapeutic journey. Maintain meticulous records that comply with state, federal, and organizational norms. Continuously enhance your expertise by participating in ongoing education and peer engagements. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
