Defense Quality Engineer

Job Title: : Defense Quality Engineer Location: Clearwater, FL -33764 Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate Range:$40 - $50Introduction Join our team in Clearwater, FL, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by leading supplier quality improvement initiatives. You will conduct supplier audits, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions, evaluate supplier capabilities, monitor quality metrics, and provide technical guidance and support to suppliers. Required Skills & Qualifications Applicants must be able to work directly for our company on a W2 basis. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. 6+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role. Strong knowledge of quality engineering practices and methodologies. Experience in conducting supplier audits and driving supplier performance improvement. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to disposition hardware. Strong project management skills and the ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers. Experience in manufacturing operations of CCA, PWB, or avionics. Experience using root cause corrective action tools to develop reductions in defects at manufacturing facilities. Experience in performing manufacturing process reviews to provide continuous improvement ideas. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience in leading supplier development initiatives. Six Sigma certification or knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct supplier audits to assess supplier capabilities and identify areas for improvement. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
