Health Information ManagerHighland Chateau Health + Rehabilitation Center Location: St. Paul, MN Status: Full-Time Position Summary Highland Chateau Health + Rehabilitation Center is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Health Information Manager (HIM) to join our team. This multi-functional role is responsible for managing resident medical records while also supporting daily operations through central supply ordering and front desk phone coverage. This position plays a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance, smooth facility operations, and excellent communication with residents, families, and staff. Key ResponsibilitiesHealth Information Management Maintain, audit, and manage resident medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations (including HIPAA). Ensure timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Coordinate record requests, releases of information, and chart audits. Support survey readiness and assist during state and federal inspections. Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure documentation compliance. Central Supply Coordination Order, track, and maintain inventory of medical and office supplies. Monitor usage and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices. Communicate with vendors and resolve supply issues as needed. Ensure adequate stock levels to support clinical operations. Front Desk & Phone Support Answer and route incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner. Provide general information to residents, families, visitors, and vendors. Support reception coverage as needed to ensure consistent front-office operations. Qualifications Experience in Health Information Management, medical records, or healthcare administration preferred. Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems (PointClickCare experience a plus). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in HIM or healthcare administration preferred. Why Join Highland Chateau?
