Satellite Operations Controller

Job Description Satellite Operations Controller Location: Littleton, CO. Required Clearance: Secret U.S. Citizenship Mandatory: Due to our US federal government contract, candidates for this position are required to be a US Citizen and will be subject to a background investigation. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for performing real-time satellite operations on complex communications systems. Report to Mission Director and Operations Site lead with status of constellation, as well as any issues encountered during the course of duties. Command and control, telemetry monitoring, equipment configuration as well as identifying anomalies of satellite constellation. Establish voice, messaging, and data communications for multiple-satellite programs of varying priorities and classifications. Configuration and monitoring of displays for computer and network equipment during normal mission operations. Works closely with the customer and peer personnel to accomplish these responsibilities. Support to ground system development work, working groups, and test and checkout. Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards. Ground system inputs toward overall engineering development and testing. Provide operational inputs to overall engineering development and testing. Multi-program coordination and scheduling using custom software tools. Determination and resolution of anomalous conditions. Provide inputs to process improvements. Provides on-the-job training on system configuration, assist in deploying software/hardware deliveries, support special projects, and assist operational crews and contractor teams in resolving system and network issues. Requirements Required Skills: Experience with satellite operations. Experience with solving complex and/or parallel problems. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work within a dynamic operational environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to pivot within a dynamic operational environment. Proficiency with MS Office products. Desired Skills: Experience with satellite operations. Launch and Early Orbit and Command and control, telemetry monitoring experience. Experience with testing, development work, or system integration. Collaborative mindset toward internal continuous process improvement and external customer interactions.
