About the Role: We're seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist who is interested in growing into an Instructor role. This position will start as a hands-on machinist role and evolve into a training and mentorship position, where you'll teach and develop other CNC machinists through structured training classes and on-the-floor coaching. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys leadership, sharing knowledge, and helping build strong machining talent. Key Responsibilities:Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and/or lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings. Program and edit CNC programs (G-code or conversational, as applicable). Perform first article inspections and quality checks. Diagnose machining issues and recommend process improvements. Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine performance. Support continuous improvement and shop efficiency initiatives. Instructor Track Responsibilities (as role evolves):Train and mentor junior and mid-level CNC machinists. Assist with developing training materials, SOPs, and best practices. Lead small group training sessions and hands-on instruction. Support onboarding of new machinists. Promote safety, quality, and machining standards. Requirements:5+ years of CNC machining experience (mills and/or lathes). Strong setup and troubleshooting skills. Experience with CNC programming and editing. Ability to read blueprints and GD&T. High attention to quality and detail. Strong communication skills and patience for teaching. Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus. Prior training or instructor experience is a plus (not required).
