Deliver personalized speech therapy that centers on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing efficiency. Engage collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to implement an integrated approach to patient care. Educate patients and families, empowering them to continue progress beyond clinical sessions. Utilize your skills in inpatient settings to conduct evaluations and provide therapy when necessary, maintaining a seamless continuum of care. Document patient progress and therapies in accordance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring clarity and continuity in our care processes. Commit to ongoing professional development, staying abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and networking with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Must possess State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days post-hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic methods across age groups with a robust grasp of both developmental and traumatic speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective dialogues with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff. Flexibility to customize therapy techniques in response to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical instincts and problem-solving skills.
