Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for children, adults, and seniors employing both standardized assessments and observational methods. Create customized treatment strategies focusing on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Engage in individual speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teammates - including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families - to formulate unified treatment plans. Provide educational resources for patients and their families to facilitate progress outside therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring a smooth continuum in patient care. Ensure quality documentation that adheres to federal, state, and organizational regulations. Commit to continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay intimate with industry advancements. Education Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) pending ASHA certification. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills Deep understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches for diverse age groups, focusing on both developmental delays and acquired communication or swallowing issues. Outstanding communication capabilities with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Ability to adjust therapy techniques to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment paired with adept problem-solving skills.
