Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Auburn Community Hospital. In this role, you will work closely with orthopedic providers to improve patient care and efficacy in the orthopedic office setting. Under the supervision of a physician, you are responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries on an outreach basis. Responsibilities and Duties: Rooming patients and obtaining a thorough history. Facilitate patient flow by coordinating patient care in a timely and efficient manner. Perform dressing changes, suture and staple removal. Assist with application of casts and splints. Fit patients with appropriate durable medical equipment and provide instructions on proper fit and use. Assist with injections and other in-office procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred Must be BOC certified and possess state athletic training licensure, certification or registration. Certified Athletic Trainer with recognized credentials. Strong knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology. Experience in health coaching or sports medicine is preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction. Ability to motivate and inspire clients towards their fitness goals. Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus. Physical Requirements: Work is medium demand. Lifting 50 pounds maximum. Medium strength is required to position patients for examination as needed. May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table and/or bed. Work inside hospital and clinic settings. Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year DOE
